Weigang Tong, MD, PhD

Dr. Tong earned his medical degree from West China University of Medical Science and then pursued a PhD in biomedical sciences from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He completed two research fellowships in stem cell and leukemia and a fellowship in hematology/oncology from the University of Washington.

During his fellowship in Seattle, Dr. Tong really enjoyed the nature and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Enjoying the endless outdoor activities this area provides, he decided to move back here to practice in a community oncology setting.

He treats patients with a broad spectrum of hematology and oncology conditions and has a special interest in malignant hematology, such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. He also has a special interest in gastrointestinal malignancy and breast cancer treatments.

Dr. Tong is married with two daughters and in his free time enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes the great outdoors, running and playing tennis.
